Dinner anyone?

Yes, this family has been known to have sticks for dinner.

No, seriously, in my effort to work through the list of forgotten vegetables, here is salsify. 45 minutes' labour later, let's hope it's good.

    @Milo: yes, delicious with a white cream sauce. Their taste has been likened to oysters, I think of them as winter asparagus. Trip to the UK is booked by the way. Will be there from 23-27 Dec.
