Belgium on the brink of civil war!

And so we are at 156 days without a government, with the negotiating parties in gridlock. Is Belgium on the verge of a civil war? If so, this is surely what the battlefield would look like. In fact, I think this is what our pols look like at the moment. A bunch of silly potatoes...

This sounds serious. But what I don't understand is, why don't the BBC carry important news like this on their front or European pages. Granted, Belgium is small, but it's still a W.European country and deserve the spotlight when serious things are happening.
There's an article in today's Guardian by John Henley entitled Bye bye Belgium.
Constitutional specialists are rubbing their eyes in disbelief as the king has stepped in as a mediator for our government broker.
It's a total shambles.
