I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to post a photo of myself on this blog. Given that so many other bloggers do effectively document their lives photographically, the temptation is there.
But it isn't strong enough to actually suit the action to the word. The illustration in the header of this blog is a more or less apt representation of my humble self (I do have a cleavage). I wonder if it would make a difference. Would it make this blog more humane? Would people find it easier to engage?
I don't have the answer, but in the meantime you'll have to make do with my cartoon alter ego.

Well, I regretted littering my last blog with images of me and am not going to be doing that this time round.
Not sure if that can be construed as advice or not!!
I hate having my photo taken, yet my blog is covered in self-portrait pictures at the moment. Am I mad?!
@Hen, no, not mad. There is something cathartic about posting pics of oneself. I found that myself in the past.
@Bun and Hen: yes, but in Bun's case it went belly up, apparently. Isn't it better to preserve the illusion?
For me I want to keep my anonymity this time round. As soon as your pic goes up your anonymity is for the most part blown.
@Bun: considering that none of my clients have an inkling that I am gay, I am doomed to remain anonymously yours.
